I was introduced to copywriting by writing SEO blog posts and shaping social media personalities for Pivot Point Communications PR Agency. At Bishop McNamara, as the Director of Communications and Marketing, I wrote ad copy, website copy, video scripts, blog posts, press releases, long-form feature stories, and news stories. At TrulyMAD, I led our team in redeveloping 100+ pages of marketing and website collateral and content, as well as our core brand identity.
Working in-house, my experience in content strategy has been a fully-encompassing and occasionally independent process. I’ve led and been heavily involved in the processes of user research, persona mapping, proto-persona mapping, brand auditing, editorial strategy, as well as brand discovery, strategy, and solutions. As a freelancer, I’ve also offered to scope for clients.
In freelance and full-time capacities, I've paired my copywriting to conceptual designs that I've then overseen as the Art Director. From planning infographics to full magazines, I've supplemented my writing with an overarching plan for display, feel, and personality. This has both strengthened my written trade and enhanced my ability to participate with agency teams, able to speak fluently regardless of medium.
